Dr. John Holliday

   

Dr. John Holliday is an accomplished Senior Research Scientist with more than 40 years’ experience across the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries, where he introduced 21st century biotechnology concepts to the agricultural sector for growing mushrooms.

Dr. Holliday is the 20-year past President and Chief Scientific Officer for Aloha Medicinals Inc., a company he founded in 1999. Dr. Holliday has been issued two U.S. Patents on this proprietary process for cultivating Cordyceps. Aloha Medicinals produces and distributes this immune system-enhancing and infection fighting mushroom and other medicinal mushroom raw materials to more than 700 drug and supplement companies across the globe, including the product that has proven effective in helping HIV/AIDS sufferers in Africa. He has designed and run a number of Human Clinical Trials, including using Aloha Medicinals formulations as an adjunct treatment for advanced stages of Cancer as well as Hepatitis and Alcoholic Liver Disease, and treatment of HIV infections. He has helped grow Aloha Medicinals to become the largest North American producer of organic medicinal mushrooms, in a global market estimated at $25 billion.

His current board roles include Chief Scientific Officer for Early Morning Farms, the world’s first successful indoor morel cultivation company, and Senior Mycology Consultant for the innovative mushroom biotechnology consulting firm, Mushroom Consulting, LLC. He is Chief Scientific Officer for Sempera Organics Inc, and Chief Scientific Office for Sabina Farms LLC. He is also the Mycology Consultant for the Government of Ghana, on the Editorial board for the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, Vice President of the International Society for Medicinal Mushrooms and Vice President of the African Society for Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms. Lastly, he is one of the Scientific Advisory Board members at R2T Bio Pharma.
